LIL JON, TERROR BASS & SKELLISM’S “IN THE PIT” GETS A HILARIOUSLY DESTRUCTIVE MUSIC VIDEO

By Matthew Meadow

There’s no denying that the massive “In The Pit” by Lil Jon, Skellism and Terror bass is a huge hit, nor is there any denying the carnage that it incites whenever it’s played. It got so bad at some points that some clubs have had to resort to banning DJs from playing it because they don’t want the mosh pits that come with it.

Get Loose Remixes!

Lil Jon’s club anthem “Get Loose” receives three amplified remixes from Garmiani, WRECKVGE and Prismo. Like a one-man army, Garmiani comes equipped with hints of his signature “pull up!” grunts, and uses Lil Jon’s vocals to hype the seismic dancehall drop. WRECKVGE treats the track to a hard trap makeover, adding in frantic synth work and a deep 808 kick. Prismo chops and muddles the vocals, spitting them out with a trappy bass line overlain by an animated melody.

Usher's 'Confessions' at 10: An Oral History with Lil Jon, Jermaine Dupri & More

In celebration of the 10th anniversary of "Confessions," an elite group of contributors who were involved in its creation share the story of making the album.
There aren’t many albums that make you feel as if your life is being recited back to you or as if you have your very own role in the storyline. Usher’s "Confessions" -- which was released 10 years ago on March 23, 2004 -- had me, a 19-year-old girl who had not yet had a boyfriend, believing that I had been cheated on or had been witness to a steamy and lingering act of infidelity.
